Quit Vaping with Hypnosis: The Key to Breaking the Habit for Good

quit vaping with hypnosis

Here is the short version of this blog:

Vaping is worse than smoking. Quit vaping with hypnosis.

OK now I’ll flesh it out, but if you don’t have the time, you already got the message.

In a recent study by Manchester Metropolitan University, researcher, Dr Azmy Faisal, led a team that compared smokers with vapers and those who didn’t smoke or vape at all. See linked article in the Guardian.

They found a significant difference when asking the three groups to perform a certain amount of exercise. The smokers and vapers, who had been doing their habits for at least two years, significantly underperformed against  the non-smokers.

There was also evidence of physiological impairments in the smoking and vaping groups.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone.

The article concludes with the statement, “The study adds to growing evidence that long-term use of vaping is harmful and challenges the idea that vaping could be a healthier alternative to smoking”, said Faisal and his co-authors of the study, which they presented on Sunday at the European Respiratory Society’s (ERS) conference in Vienna.

Vaping was sold as a harm reduction method.

Well, it is turning out to be smoke and mirrors, without the smoke. See: https://www.freedomfromsmokes.com/post/vaping-loopholes-help-big-tobacco-addict-teens

Hypnosis is one of the most effective ways for quitting smoking, vaping and other bad habits that are harmful to the body. Hypnosis takes its success from encouraging the unconscious mind to do its job;  which is to protect us from harm.

Hypnosis is working with nature, not against it.

Bad habits usually form when we are very young, certainly before the frontal lobe fully develops in the mid twenties. Poor strategies to solve unwanted experiences, which are then repeated, become automatic responses. Later in life,  triggers in our environment remind the unconscious mind of similar past negative experiences.

This then leads to an automatic response like, smoke a cigarette, or vape, or get on Instagram, or eat something. The response of choice is automatic which means that it lives in the unconscious mind.

Hypnosis is a focused way to speak to the unconscious mind when normally it doesn’t want to listen. In fact, that is how a habit works. It needs to be automatic and incredibly fast.

Imagine how hard life would be if we had to consciously think about everything we did.

How would we tie our shoes, drive a car, type, play an instrument, walk, without it being automatic? We would  have to consciously think, left, right, left, right when walking or stay on top of,  breath in, breath out, just in order to breathe. It has to be automatic, or we’d never be able to survive. So our unconscious mind handles it for us.

Habits are a good thing most of the time, essential.

However, the unconscious mind can get fooled sometimes, early in life, when trying to avoid something unpleasant or even painful. The natural response to smoke in the lungs is to reject it, but for the teenager just learning to smoke, the powerful positive emotional and psychological experiences from being with our friends, who also happen to be smoking, overpowers the negative messaging from the physical body.

The result is that after some time, the unconscious mind creates the belief that smoking is good, because good social feelings were happening when smoking, even though the smoking had no direct effect on the social feelings. In fact, smoking was creating a negative physical experience. The unconscious mind had to make a decision and it chose incorrectly, setting up the automatic bad habit.

Hypnosis goes directly to the source of the habit, and makes suggestions that, when done skillfully, the unconscious mind accepts.

This is the only way to make the change immediate and permanent.

Hypnosis helps with all forms of tobacco use. Smoking, vaping, cigars, pipes, nicotine gum, patches, and pouches are all derived from tobacco. Show the unconscious mind the truth about tobacco and it will reject tobacco in any form from that point on.
