What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is not mysterious. Hypnosis has been around since the ancient Egyptians would whisper encouraging words into the ears of sleepers. Hypnosis is a scientifically proven method for making significant changes in our lives that is safe and powerfully effective. Today, you can find hypnosis used in professional sports, medicine, law enforcement, the performing arts, and many other fields. There are many myths and misunderstandings about hypnosis and we would like to clarify just what hypnosis is and isn’t right here.
how does hypnosis work?
Our minds work on two levels – the conscious and the unconscious. We make decisions, think, and act with our conscious mind. The unconscious mind controls our habits. In the relaxed state known as hypnosis, we can communicate directly with the unconscious mind. This is why it is so quick and easy to change habits of a lifetime with hypnosis.
Will hypnosis work for me?
Generally speaking, every normal person is “hypnotizable”. If you can watch a movie, you can be hypnotized. Virtually anyone can achieve successful results using hypnosis.
How will I know if I am hypnotized?
People go into trance many times over the course of an ordinary day. Trance is simply a relaxed, yet focused state. When you are driving, when you are watching a movie, or reading a good book, you are often in trance. You are conscious and aware, yet a part of you is immersed in the content of what you are doing. Basically, it is just a state of deep relaxation.
Is hypnosis safe?
Hypnosis is completely safe. You are aware and in control at every moment and can terminate the session at any time. Hypnosis is not sleep, nor can you get “stuck” in a state of hypnosis. You cannot be made to do something against your will! Hypnosis is a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience.
How does hypnosis help me to kick the smoking habit?
Smoking is controlled by the unconscious mind. Hypnosis gets at the root cause of smoking, which is the unconscious belief that smoking is good for us. Once you decide that becoming a non-smoker for good is what you want to do, you can make that transition in just one hour with the help of hypnosis. It is that easy.
